Pastor David Rosa Jr.
NBHD Roots is a faith family for the weary and the willing—forming whole disciples, building Kingdom projects, and joining what God is doing in the neighborhood.
NBHD Roots is what emerged when the seed of Cruciform Church was buried and allowed to grow deeper. Founded by David and Ruth Rosa, Cruciform was never just about Sunday—it was a response to a calling:
From the beginning, we weren’t trying to build a church for the sake of it. We were planting a movement—a vision for gospel presence across South Florida that was always bigger than one room or one stage.
But somewhere along the way, we got pulled into maintaining what we never meant to prioritize: buildings, systems, and machinery that began draining more life than they gave.
So in a difficult but prayerful moment of obedience, we made the call to shut down the institution—to preserve the people, the mission, and the possibility of something more faithful and sustainable.
In the stillness that followed, God reminded us of who we really are.
What we needed wasn’t to start over—but to grow deeper.
We rediscovered the strength we had always carried: gospel depth, genuine relationships, and community-rooted impact. But we also knew we had to slow down enough to embrace soul care, deep discipleship, and the long-form work of formation.
NBHD Roots is that vision reborn.
This isn’t just a rebrand—it’s a return. A reorientation around our original DNA, now expressed through:
And none of this would be possible without the Cruciform family—those who have stayed faithful, prayed quietly, served behind the scenes, and believed with us for what’s next.
You’ve helped water this dream into reality.
Because movements don’t grow in isolation.
NBHD Roots is intentionally hyper-collaborative—working alongside churches, nonprofits, leaders, and everyday believers who long to see the gospel take root not just in services, but in schools, storefronts, sidewalks, and streets.
This is slow work. Ground-level work. But it’s sacred.
