The Story
David Rosa Jr. is a church planter, strategist, and gospel-centered catalyst for renewal—rooted in South Florida and shaped by years of ministry on the ground.
After planting and pastoring Cruciform: Our NBHD Church for nearly a decade, David made the difficult and faith-filled decision to close its doors. Not because the gospel stopped working, but because the model did. Rather than preserve an institution that could no longer carry the weight of its people, he chose to preserve the people themselves. For him, this wasn’t failure—it was faith in action. A belief that sometimes, taking something down is the most courageous way to build what’s next.
From that surrender came clarity: the Church doesn’t just need to be sustained—it needs to be reimagined. David now lives to help leaders build churches that form people deeply and mobilize them missionally—without burning them out in the process.
Who I Serve
Today, David partners with local and national organizations—including City to City Miami, Church United South Florida, the Maroon House, and the National Latino Evangelical Coalition (NALEC)—as a consultant, strategist, and trainer. He helps start and strengthen churches with a passion for Christ-centered community impact.
With a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry and over a decade of hands-on experience in community development, prison chaplaincy, and church leadership, David brings theological depth, strategic clarity, and lived-in compassion to every space he enters. He now walks alongside urban planters, movement leaders, and spiritual entrepreneurs—curating best-in-class resources and designing formation pathways that help them plant with health, rest, and resilience.
What Drives Me
David's work is rooted in prophetic imagination and pastoral presence—bridging grassroots realities with apostolic vision. He is deeply committed to strengthening the Black and Brown Church for the sake of the multi-hyphenated, capital “C” Church. His heart beats for the city, the marginalized, and the next generation of rooted leaders who will plant churches that heal even as they build.
Life Beyond the Work
Off the mic and away from the meetings, David is a husband to Ruth, a Christian counselor, and a dad trying to keep up with three kids and a wild pitbull. David and Ruth refuel over good food, live neo-soul, and R&B shows—small escapes that keep them sane. As a family, the Rosas unwind with long walks on the beach—kids racing, dog pulling, waves crashing, and grace showing up in the everyday.
Helping Young Leaders Build Churches That Last
I exist to help urban leaders plant healthy, holistic churches + kingdom initiatives that don’t just launch—they last.
In city after city, I meet pastors full of fire but struggling to find fuel. Passion in the pulpit but no plan on paper. Heart for the people but little clarity for the process. That’s where I come in.
I work with young planters, pastors, and kingdom entrepreneurs to close the gap between vision and reality—merging soul care with strategy to build churches that are faithful and future-ready.
With over a decade of experience and deep trust among national networks and thought leaders, I bring more than inspiration—I bring insight, tools, and the kind of coaching that turns momentum into movement.
Whether you’re launching from scratch or trying to recover what’s been lost—I’ll help you build with clarity, conviction, and rest that lasts.
This isn’t just church planting.
This is movement-making—for a new generation.
Young, Called, and Carrying Weight? I Got You.
Urban leaders carry deep passion—but passion alone won’t get you to the finish line. That’s where I come in.
I walk alongside young pastors, planters, and Kingdom entrepreneurs—especially in minority and under-resourced communities—to help them grow from the inside out. My coaching combines soul care, strategic clarity, and contextualized training designed for the real challenges of urban ministry.
Through my work with City to City Miami, Maroon House, Church United South Florida, and a growing network of national partnerships, I connect leaders to best-in-class tools—then help them apply those tools in their world. We’re talking theological vision, spiritual formation, leadership assessments, social impact models, and practical systems that sustain movement.
I don’t just coach—I help build with you. Personally. Strategically. Contextually.
So the church or project you’re building isn’t just inspiring—it’s sustainable.
Let’s build something that lasts. And let’s start by building you.
